Myofascial Release Therapy
Myofascial release therapy is an alternative medicine therapy that is used to treat skeletal muscle immobility (by focusing on releasing muscular shortness and tightness), and pain (by relaxing contracted muscles), improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. Myofascial pain can have two sources. Pain can be generated from the skeletal muscle or connective tissues that are 'bound down' by tight fascia. In addition, pain can also be generated from damaged myofascial tissue itself, sometimes at a 'trigger point' where a contraction of muscle fibers has occurred.
Trigger Point Therapy NIMMOCARE® Certified
NIMMOCARE® is non-invasive pain relief treatment that’s based on simple scientific concepts of trigger points. A trigger point is a small patch of tightly contracted muscle that causes discomfort and often refers pain elsewhere. NIMMOCARE® goes beyond the treatment of symptoms to eliminate the cause of pain, promoting healing and preventing recurrence.
Fascial Movement Taping (ROCKTAPE certified)
RockTape can be used to treat sports and non-sports injuries, including shin splints, plantar fasciitis, runner’s knee and back pain. RockTape microscopically lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia below, creating a decompressive effect. It helps decrease pain, reduces swelling and inflammation, delays muscle fatigue, normalizes muscle tone, and spreads the physical stress.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy
Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization enables clinicians to detect and effectively break down scar tissues and fascial restrictions to help you maintain optimal range of motion. His tool achieves faster and better outcomes to treat conditions such as Carpal Tunnel, Trigger finger, Achilles Tendonitis, Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen shoulder), Tennis and Golfer’s elbow, IT Band Syndrome, Lumbar Strain and Plantar Fasciitis.
